Don’t let it go to your head
Again, one of those strips where it sort of worked in my head, but then didn’t translate as well to paper. Why is that?

I bought a lousy Compaq from Wal-Mart a few months back to replace the computer that went down, and I was going to buy a new one replace this one, but as I was having one built for me, our car gave us trouble and we had to use the money for the computer on the car.
Sigh. I guess the Compaq is okay. It really hasn’t given me that much trouble. I should just be happy with it. Hopefully, I’ll build up some money some day and get a proper butt-kicking computer!
Hi, yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve updated. I do have a lot of comics to upload. I mean, a LOT! That’s part of the problem. 1) I don’t have the time to do it and 2) I don’t have fast enough connection to get it done in a timely manner.
But, I AM still producing. It is getting harder, though. I have been under some stress, I’ve also been drawing, drawing, drawing for other people and I had a little burnout combined with some writer’s/artist’s block! Man, how do you get through that.
On top of that, I’m convinced I have hypothyroidism. My sister was diagnosed with it, my brother was diagnosed with it, and I have the same symptoms they have. So, rather than live in denial, I figured it was time to get checked out.
So, if it’s as simple as that, then taking a pill once a day should get me to where I would like to be.
Did you know 50% of American’s take medication on a daily basis? Thought I’d mention that.
I have upload some of my latest comics, but there are still quite a few I need to convert to .gifs and upload. I’d really like to get the rest of my 2006’s up, but I don’t have the time for it right now. There’s time, there’s always time.
Anyway, I’m having a lot of brain drain. I’ve got too many projects in my lap and am tired a lot. I stay up too late and I’m putting on weight. It’s a little depressing. So, ideas for cartoons are really not coming to me. I need a burst of inspiration soon or I’m considering ending the series.
Yeah, I won’t bore you with the details. Too many things happening. Let’s just chalk it up to 50% Curtis Curse and the other half to just “life happens.” Okay? But, I’m updating again and try to get as much as I can at a time.
If you haven’t checked out the link on the sidebar for my brother’s comic, you should do so. His artwork is impeccable and very funny. In fact, he has already received some attention for it…I’m so proud of him. Sniff. Sniff.
And here is where he got some attention. Just scroll down to October 29th.
Not surprising, about a year ago my favorite scanner pooped out on me and I, of course, had to dust off my not-so-favorite back-up scanner. I have to give it credit though, it got the job done, but now, it too, has bit the dust and I’m without a scanner.
To add to my headache, my computer is having hardware issues, and I can’t either afford to get my computer fixed or get a new scanner (even if I had a choice).
Anyway, I’ll have to sneak in scans at my work until I can afford a scanner again. I’ll probably buy one of those “scanner-printers” but I’m not real fond of them, but then I need a new printer anyway, so why the hell not.
For now, though, I’ll have to actually draw my cartoon with my pen tablet, which I’m still not comfortable enough to do, but here goes nothing.
Hey, folks. I have been so busy lately, I haven’t updated the site lately, as you can tell, but I do have a lot of strips to put up. There is a two week absence of strips in October, though. I was involved in the community theatre, putting on a production of “Drop Dead,” which was fun as hell to do, and a hilarious play. Hope some of the locals saw it.
In addition, I had my fourth child! Well, my wife did, all I did was cut the umbilical cord. Her name is Corabeth, and she is a good baby so far. I’ll knock on wood.
Anyway, back to the strips. Thanks for hanging in there, and thank you to those who have left comments and sorry I didn’t respond sooner.
Later.
There is hope for my drive after all. I didn’t know that my brother-in-law was that deep into IT, so he offered to take the drive and pull all of my important files off from it! I am so pleased! I truly hope he can do it! I will be indebted to him for life if he can pull it off.
Just to let you know that there have been some setbacks in getting the strips up. First off, my hard drive which held all of my comic strips is currently unavailable, and since I really suck at making back-ups… Well, it’ll be a while.
Just thought I’d let you know.
Hallelujah!! I made it through the first year of strips! Of course, I will review my hard copies to make sure I’ve got everything up. It was a good year, and when it was done, I was amazed about how much I had produced.
And since I was on a roll, I just kept going on into 2005.
